Default semi built GSR poor cranking no start electrical issue maybe?

Wassup H-T like the title say, last summer i performed a complete wire tuck using a rywire harness with battery posts on the fire wall with a nice battery box and a distribution block mounted on the side of the box in the trunk and she ran fine , this time around i decided that i wanted to build the motor so i went ahead and picked up a set of CP 9:0:1 pistons with eagle rods, factory bearings , factory head gasket with arp head studs along with an ATI race pulley witch i well get into a bit later, head is completely stock running on obd-1 p72 with hondata s300…i went to go start her and notice that my cranks are very poor and if i hit the gas my fuse on my distribution block blows witch then kills everything entirely since the block is the first thing after battery ,now back to the ATI pulley it turns out if your running there race pulley you need to source a smaller alt belt part # 4040275 by goodyear , now since i do not yet have the belt keep that in mind that I'm attempting the start her up with no alt belt….am i crazy to think that since the ecu isn't seeing no signal from the alt it simply can't push enough current though or am i dealing with more of a electrical issue ?? and imput will help!

Assuming your clearances are correct, you should be able to start the engine on a fully charged battery - it just won't run very long. A constantly blowing fuse tells you there is a wiring problem, though. Most likely an open power lead, or a main ground disconnected. Run all of the wiring you did, make sure none of the wires are damaged, and make sure they're all properly attached.
