Default ECU fried from distributor going bad?

When your ECU is getting fried, does it look like this? I attached img

My mechanic said he thinks this is an example of when ECU fried from distributor going bad...not sure if my car had a good ECU fuse or not..but it's a stock 93 EG SI manual....

Can Anybody confirm or deny if this is a distributor caused ECU blowout?

So were you messing with wires before or during the ECU fry?

Looks more like a capacitor failed. They get old and do that from time to time.

Wasn't messing with any wires, it's a totally stock hatch, besides a small amp and 8in sub.
It did sit for a year, and i had just been driving it again for a few weeks when this blew.

Mechanic installed new distributor and the p06 ECU replacement, it runs like crap......no power above 2000 rpm, it sputters.....i thought it would run fine except for no vtec???

Any ideas?

what's a good company to do the conversion if i mail in the ECU??

Just got ECU back and now car won't start, I just had the P06 conversion, the car ran with the ECU before I mailed it off(didn't run perfect and have much power since it wasn't a p06 but it ran okay)

It's got new Distributor and good plug wires and gas, any ideas?

Only mods I requested phearable to do was to optimize for 92octane gas and for air intake/headers (and to disable the o2 sensor warning or whatever since he said most people get it done and it was free)...would that be causing the car to not start?

Anybody in southern Virginia got a stock p06 I can borrow for 10 min to swap in to see if it starts lol jk jk

Check for spark and whether the fuel pump primes.
