cost to fix a door
i usually use 87 octane, but one day i decided to get 93. so i got out my car closed the driver door and filled my tank. then my door wouldn't open. anyway, it's been almost half a year. at the prelude meets they called me duke of hazardd
and i am finally getting it fixed. 75 for a door latch and 175+tax for labor or whatever.
my car has tons of other problems, but..
i still haven't given up on my prelude!

that was the first time i put 93 in my car, i was trying to take better care of it, and that happened. i don't know how the door did that. i took it around and this honda place told me it happens to a lot of older accords. my car is used too so i don't know what they did with it.
relevant-just lettin people know how much it cost to get a door that doesn't open fixed.

this is prolly irrelevant...but.
why are you running 87octane in your lude?? what year is it...(hopefully older.)
last ?
so the gas lid door, won't open or the actual door on your car??
your probobly won't find an answer here, cuz it sounds kind of rare you should probobly ask a body shop, or the people who would actually fix your door

Leaded fuel also acts as a lubricant, for example the Lead cushions the valves when they contact the valve seats. Using an unleaded fuel takes away this cushioning affect, which can cause damage to the valves over time.
I think this could also be the cause of your door no longer opening.
Try using some 87 octane again, and see if that fixes the problem.
i roll a 92 lude. just wanted to save money and i read a few places(super street) that the rating of gas is not as important as people think it is.
it was the actual car driver's side door
**thas why the whole dukes of hazard thing
