2000 Accord fired up for a second, died, and now wont crank HELP!!
Hi
My 2000 Accord won't start.
I accidentally left the door open for about 15 hours, got home from work and went to fire her up after leaving her sitting all day with door open and interior light glowing. The engine fired up, but instantly cut out and now she wont even attempt to fire. The starter motor is fine, Battery seems good, lights and radio etc all working. No flashing immobiliser light, the green light flashes twice when I put the key in and then goes out as normal.
I had the recovery service come and look at it, it was about 10PM tonight and he didn't seem to want to do much, he told me he is 99% sure it was the timing/cam belt, however he didnt have the tool to remove the belt cover so couldnt confirm for sure. Waste of time but I wont go there
So, does anybody have any thoughts?
I've owned the car for three months now, it's on 150,000Miles but is in pretty good nick. Has never given me the slightest bit of trouble. And now the thing won't start!
