96 Accord A/C went out
Hey guys, just ran into another quirk with the Accord. I was driving the other day and my a/c just went out, almost like the whole system shorted. The dash lights for the a/c turned off and it stopped blowing any air altogether. I thought it might've been the fuse but I checked them and all my fuses are good, under the hood and under the dashboard. What could it be? I live in AZ and need that cold air lol
Best thing to do, if youve already checked the fuses. Is to get a good wiring diagram, and start checking out the circuits. Id start with the Blower motor, and see if it is shorted. Then I would check the AC compressor clutch...see if it is shorted. Finally, check the condenser fan. If not shorted...I would then start at controller...and work my way back...looking for break, shorts etc.
Does your accord have automatic climate control? The panels are prone to all sorts of problems, and given that you have no blower motor, heat, or A/C, it points to a problem with the control heat itself, which is not uncommon.
You need to be more descriptive, I cannot see you car so provide us, with detail, as to what does work, and what doesn't, and when it started, and the last things done to the car.
