Hello my 91 Accord coupe LX has had this weird problem for about a year now and I cant figure it out.

The left side turn signal light on the dash is always lit when the key is on and when the engine is running.

Things Ive done.
Replaced all the bulbs
Cleaned the connectors/sockets
Put in a new taillight

The signal works fine and doesn't blink fast but the light wont turn off.

Another issue that happened at the same time is that the 3rd brake light doesn't work. Its not getting any power and I cant figure out why. All the relays/fuses are fine.

Does anyone have any opinions or troubleshooting for me?

 

I don't have a pinout of the gauge for a 4th gen so can't help with the "turn light" much besides I want to see if there is a short to ground on the wire to that light.

For the 3rd brake light, the failure sensors on these seems to go bad often - I'd pull the failure sensor (right/pass tail light) and inpsect it for damage. The tail light gaskets are known to leak, that would allow water to get into/on to the failure sensor.

 

Thanks for the help! I have replaced the failure sensor but will check the wiring to the 3rd brake light. Ive also been trying to trace the wiring for the turn signals and look for pinches or grounds with no such luck.
