I have a 1993 model and while replacing a water-damaged sony head unit, my idiot friend broke the hinge on the glove box.

I looked around for a replacement and learned that 1- these things are usually over $115 and 2-Honda's amazon store will jack up the price of parts if there is interest in them

Soooooo... that brings me to my question, will a 1994-1997 box fit on a 93? The reason being that the former is 1/4 the price.

Solcal said yes, I just need a second opinion.

I can't give you a definitive answer but I can say they look quite different and appear to mount differently, that's not to say it wouldn't work though.

I suppose I can find a store with a decent return policy if it does not work...

 

I have a '93 and a '94 Sol.
The mounting appears identical and all my measurements say it will work.

They are $25 at my local wrecker.

 

I'm not sure they will exchange. I know they are different, but I think the airbag ones were off somehow. I ordered one for my dads as his had an issue with his hinge, but got a 94+ one, and had to send it back.

I ended up riveting a hinge to the corner that broke, and bolted that on. Paint the rivets black, and most will never know

 

Results:

A 94+ glove box WILL fit on a 93 provided you have the 94+ latch loop to go with it.

End of story. Here's the answer. Everyone can go home now.
