1989 Civic LX, D16Y8, power steering line question
Have an 1989 Civic sedan, built and installed a D16Y8, custom turbo setup with hydraulic transmission.
Goal is now keeping my Ac and power steering.
The original high psi line from the rack will not bolt up to the new Y8 pump(different bolt patterns) as the old style pump no matter which bracketing combo will bolt to the block.
My question is can I take a 96-00 high psi line, cut & flare the tubing end and run a fitting to my original rack on the EF chassis?
Will the pressure switch need to be connected or can it be deleted?
Will the pressure change from the new pump damage the original rack?
