Default Dash lights and outside light issues

I have an 01 gsr when pressing the brake pedal dash lights, outside lights parking lights and rear lights also clock dims. Now i have read it could be a short in the tailights by putting the incorrect bulb with a dual filament i am going to check my question is would this affect my parking lights? My passenger side parking light does not light up at all never has since i purchased the car. Any help would be appreciated

Check for proper "working" bulbs in all sockets, front and rear. 94

I just bought a 00 gs and there was a wire running down the drivers side from the steering column to the main plug in the taillights and my headlights and all parking lights would come on with second click(headlights, nothing with psrking/running lights) sometimes all my dash lights would not come on. Took 3 days. But my under hood fuse box # 48(I think) lights or coluom lights fuse was blown 15amp. Then click for headlights and blown the fuse. Cut the taillight wire new fuse. Everything works as it should now . And I got a jdm front and now my fogs are on with running lights. Love it

Lol sorry I thought of it on the weekend and seen its fuse 51 combination switch (dash lights ) but thought its not what ur problem is. Sorry about that. But like for me also. Start with easiest first (fuses blown) check every light fuse under dash and under hood. Then replace your side bulbs so they work 194 168 bulbs. Replace all bulbs to proper bulbs. Then make new ground wires in the truck where urs are corroded and see if any of that helps. Then you can start
Trouble shooting your problem.
