1999 Milano Red Civic Si
Hello from Arkansas!
Just joined the ranks of the Honda world with a completely bone stock 1999 Honda Civic Si. It has a few niggles that I am going to have to work through (not all that unusual for a car with 131k miles).
I have never owned a Honda product before... But the Civic Si was always a car that sat in the back of my head.
The day started out as a really bad day. I drove for 6 hours to look at what was supposed to be a perfect 2002 BMW 325i w/ only 83k miles to find a complete ruin... When I got home I pulled up craigslist and typed in "Civic Si" expecting to see another list of 10 - 20 thousand dollar newer Civics, and a couple of older civics with either a quarter million miles, or were completely ruined.
Before me was a listing that had been up for less that an hour for a stock (those are getting hard to find) Civic... The lone picture showed what appeared to be a pristine little car, for what I felt was a price that was too low.
I immediately called the guy and scheduled a meeting with the guy and after discussing payment I promptly pulled out a stack of bills and paid for it on the spot.
The drivers side window scissor is broken, and needs to be replaced.
The outer tie rod end on the drivers side has a bit of slop.
Tires have very little tread on them.
Passenger front fender has a nice big crease in it.
Other than that the car appears to be in perfect shape! I am freakin CHUFFED to bits about this beautiful little car.
I have now been indoctrinated into the Cult of Honda, as I have bowed before the burning effigy of the B18C5 while my friends all chanted "one of us, one of us".
