Default Flow control valve in street car

I'm running a comp twin in my prelude with a quaife differential. I broke second gear at the dragstrip and was recommended a flow control valve to relieve drivetrain stress. Is this a viable option for a car that sees a lot of street driving or will it wear out the clutches unreasonable fast?

Run it. It won't wear them unreasonably.
