Default First time? Electronic Switchable Hood Exit Exhaust

Wanted to take a bit of time and post this on here for you guys, I'm a small shop in Ontario, Glease Manufacturing. This is a local customers car. He wanted the car to be an animal when the moment is right, but then be able to flip a switch and have is whisper quietly down the street in. This is a 100% daily driven S2000.

So, we decided to add a Y-Pipe off of the down pipe and use an electric cutout. It's very effective.

Sheepey manifold, precision 6262, ect.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Video -

After breaking quite a few dump tubes, we solved the problem with some bellows.

Final touch

Not worried about snow or rain entering there?

Good question! We're working on a cool magnetic cover for it, so its easy to yank on and off.

I don't know why but I expected a sliding tray/panel with a linear actuator under the hood that opened via electronic switch. But then the pipes wouldn't be able to extend through the hood. Looks good though.

Just do a tea kettle lid for it, when exhaust isn't passing through it it's closed but as soon a gas flows it opens based on how much gas is pushing the lid up
