Hello all, I have a '96 Accord coupe that I purchased on the cheap while my daily was in for a lengthy trip to the shop. As it happened both the taillights and interior gauge/climate control lights seemed to randomly quit one day. I have the daily back now and a couple days off to dig into the light issue. I kind of fell for the Honda and it's been cheap enough to keep around as a bit of a project.

I've searched and searched on the subject but I couldn't find much of an answer. It's as if the first click of the headlight switch does nothing, I've tried a brand new switch already. Does anyone have insight on this issue? Many thanks.

 

So does the "second" click, headlights on, make a difference?

 

Yes, the second click turns the headlights on only. The taillights, park lights and interior panel lights stay off.

 

Check the #32 (15 amp) underhood fuse.
