Good day pals. I drive a honda accord 2001 4cyl. It suddenly stopped after a drive in the rain and won't start. It starts when the throttle is depressed during which it will rev up, but once I release the throttle, it instantly goes dead. No codes on scanning. A lot has been tried, fuel pump, MAP and TPS swapped with working ones but problem persisted. Please help cos this is driving me crazy.

 

I've not checked my IAC valve cos it's not easy to reach. can an IAC valve that is completely shut make the car to go off once the foot is removed from the pedal?

 

You need to check for fuel and spark.

Problem solved. Checked my IAC valve and noticed it was shaking. I don't even know how that happened, but the plastic part of the device was loosely screwed to the metalic part. fixed it, cleaned it and problem solved. car starts without stress and idle is fine.

But my idle is still crazy when I put on the ac. It goes well above 1000rpm and then comes down to about 500rpm at which point the car begins to shake, then it goes up again. would replacing the IAC valve entirely solve this crazy idle on AC?
