Okay basiclly i wanted a B18C5 engine and ended up buying one it was a Bare B18C5 just as i wanted to fully build but didnt realize the issue i was getting into because it was what i wanted but it had no VIN stamped on it. It was removed/broke off/fell off/ and i wanted to know thw history of the engine so i started looking into a way of tracing back the engine serial number to the the Original VIN number after many fourm posts on HT team integra & integratypeR.org i got to where it was a slight decode being if the first number of the 7 digit serial njmber was a "8" which this B18C5 was, it was a 2001 model and i tried calling 4 different stolen vehicle crime investigators 2 said it was stolen 1 said they couldnt find anything and last one said it was a stolen car salavaged/rebuilt and was recovered the car was from new jersey also and it was auctioned off. they never were able to give me a VIN as they werent allowed to and in the end. He suggested trying the acura corperation them selves not the Dealership as i tried before several times. And i finally got a VIN i carfaxed it and gave me this information so im trying to track this car down to do the right thing sadly i dont got a badge number to go by : someone help! This R if still alive has had a horrible life and it makes me sad
Is it still even alive is my question as it last updated on 2005. And if i can find it id either buy it or give them whats rightfully theirs, anyway to get a badge number from a VIN. Sorry lol i was sorta just typing away before was to excited after finding the vin and carfaxing it.

IF the motor is stolen then honestly you should just give it to the State Highway patrol... Even if you give it back to the original owner the motor is contraband as it has been entered into a database of stolen Automobile parts. Just because it had at one point belonged to that vehicle doesn't mean the new owner of the vehicle is entitled to it. The motor is either owned by the previous owner of the vehicle (if individual didn't have full coverage), or since the vehicle has a branded title (again I'm ASSUMING he/she had full coverage) the insurance company who paid out the claim.
Just an FYI, that car is in Canada, or was last known to be 10 years ago.
Yes i know its either in canada or last known to be in canada. Carfaxs that i provided state that, what im trying to know is if anyone here maybe owns it or junked it or knows someone who knows someone. Or a way to track it down
