So when my car is cold it shifts right from first into fourth and d4 starts flashin so i shut it off and try again and when it warms up a lil bit down the road it will shift fine no prob no slippin was thinkin of doing a flush today fluid looks a little burnt any thoughts please

I had a similar if not same problem with my 01 accord v6. Mine resulted in rebuild of the transmission. Be advised that there was a transmission issue that year. I've forgotten the details as it was back 3-4 years ago. After the transmission rebuild everything has gone great. 175k and counting.

 

There were a few issues with the 6th gen ATs. IMO the biggest problem was that not all codes would set the CEL or D4 lamp off, a goof on Hondas part.
