97 JDM B18B into 1990 integra

Using original wiring harness
Hey so i swapped out my blown B18A1 for a 1997 JDM B18B and I decided to run obd0 instead of obd2. I used my obd0 intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, dizzy, alternator, and harness. Crank pulley, and drivers side mount.
Everything has connected back up exactly where it was with my harness EXCEPT for the sensor near my oil filter on the back of the new JDM block. On the blown 1990 B18A1 there were THREE sensors there and on the new one there is only one. Now out of those three plugs on my harness that are supposed to click into these sensors(on the B18A1) is (A) one with one female connection that fits perfectly into the single sensor on the back of my NEW block (B) another plug with TWO female connections and (C) a green plastic plug. I just plugged in plug (A) and left (B) and (C) dangling there because I didn't know where else they could have plugged in. I was told older motors had extra water sensors but that didn't give me any answers whether I was headed in the right direction.
Eventually started the car up and it ran pretty smooth but I noticed that the thermostat wasn't opening at all and the lower radiator hose was cold and the upper hose was scolding hot.
I DID NOT use my original thermostat housing. What i need to know is if that was a HUGE necessity to completing this crossover and did I skip a big step by not putting on that thermo housing or is it a smaller problem like maybe just needing replace the thermostat itself. And what about those extra two sensors on the back of the old block? Do I need to change the sensor on the new block for any of the three on the old block?
Any help is much appreciated and sorry for the long post! Replies won't be so lengthly. Thanks!
