Hey guys I'm new to this site and have a few question and I was hoping to find some awnsers I have a 1996 Honda Accord LX... First I recently bought a OBD2 and came up with two codes.. P1298 which is the Electronic Load Detector High Voltage and the other was P1359 which is the Top Dead Center sensor. As far as the TDC sensor I just wanted to ask what the average price of one of those would be?
But my main concern is finding where the Electronic Load sensor is located... I've check online and in all the Hondas I've seen they are in the Fuse box under the hood and I've check my fuse box but I don't seem to see exactly where it would be... And I've seen the diagrams online which don't really look the same as my Hondas box
Aftermarket is $100-200.
Before you blame it, verify the wiring going down to the crankshaft is fine, and that the sensors are not covered in junk. Verify the resistance is within spec. They are magnetic pickups, if material is on the surface of the sensors they may simply need to be wiped clean. Filth on the pickups will cause a loss of resolution and a weak or no signal to the PCM. Although checking/cleaning requires removal of the crank shaft pulley and lower cover to gain access.
ELD is located in the underhood fuse box. It is brownish colored and bolted into the fuse box. Looks like the boxed item here...
Thanks Mike Ill give The sensor a good wipe down!!! as far the (ELD) i took a picture of my fuse box because i wasnt able to locate the Redish Brown box and where it possibly could go
