Default Crv cluster in a EG Hatch

I dont know how hard it is to put a Si cluster in a eg but would it be as hard as putting a Crv cluster in it? The reason i ask is because i seen Si cluster perfectly fit with the bezel and with the clear plastic cover on it. my question is i put a crv cluster in my eg hatch, i cut things that are in the way a little and just put it in like that, and in order for it to fit inside the bezel i took off the clear plastic cover, so is it ok to drive with out it? i know its there for a reason but was wondering if its ok to just leave it like that.

The CRV cluster is the same type of cluster as the Civic Si cluster.

Any particular reason you are doing this?
