Mystery box with blinking red and green light
I have a 1998 honda civic that I just recently bought from a private dealer.... basically I parked my car and saw a blinking red light then a blinking green light and its coming from a box in my steering wheel column... any thoughts would be helpful!!
More detailed pictures. More useful pictures. Pictures showing us what it's hooked up to, where the wires go, things like that. Either it's a tracker, or a security system, or some kind of immobilizer.

Okay well I'll send more pics in the a.m. I don't know exactly where it goes I tried to follow the wires but, I couldn't! And there were only two wires... power and ground and the box was located in the steering wheel column... hope that helps a little!
The picture is not sharp enough to be able to see all the alpha-numbers below the bar code. Try goggling the serial number below the barcode to see if it reveals what it may be.
^^
LOL
I know if you bought it from a Buy Here Pay here place, some try and secretly put trackers on their cars so they can recover them quickly.
Its not a difficult job to take off the plastics.. Just need a phillips head screwdriver and 10 mins

It's probably one of these:
1. Ignition kill switch or car immobilizer
2. GPS tracking system
3. Part of an older auto start system
4. Government spy equipment
5. Al Qaeda mind control device to make you buy ricer parts off ebay
6. IED
7. Party box: The party only starts when both lights blink at the same time.
I'm leaning towards #1 and 2.

Unplug it and see if the car works. If it does, leave it out. If you dont have any alarm fobs, then you know its not alarm.. im thinking gps tracker so they can scoop the car whenever..
