b18a1 intake manifold on b18b1 in DA
I just bought myself DA while ago and the previous owner gave me couple of his b1 intake manifold (at that time I have no experiences with b series engine). I looked up on that and compared to my a1 intake manifold which are in DA. I decided to swap it to make it looks better. before I went ahead, I looked around on Google for something and found the term "dashpot" on my a1 IM which looked all spaghetti stirred up messy, would they affect anything if I take a1 IM and dashpot off and put b1 IM on WITHOUT dashpot? It may sounds broad, ask me for more details and I will be more than happy to share.
Yet if you decided to bump the thread saying "search more" at least give me keywords and I will dig hard
P.S. if the title is off the point on my thread, please let me know and I will change it to correct title for better search engine.

The dashpot just keeps the throttle body from sticking when it closes. So if you let go of the gas and it does you just have to tap the pedal. I'm using a B18B1 intake manifold on my B20 in a DA and it's ok.
Lots of people remove the dashpot in order to fit strut tower bars as well.
