Civic 2009 LX
After taking the car for a tire rotation and balancing my daughter notice something like rubbing parts at the front wheels. I did jacked the front and I started spinning the wheels, with the tires on, and I notice that the front passenger side doesn't spin freely like the other on the driver side. I removed the tire and the rotor get stuck in one part and start spinning a little bit freely on the rest. Let say 80 % spin a little free, but it come to the same spot it get stuck. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for replying. I did remove the calliper and brake pad. Both pad are in excellent condition also the rotor. But I found that one of the slider (the one's cover with the boot) wasn't moving freely; so I cleaned it and use new grease. But the sound is still there. My next guess is that there is something wrong with the tire. So I'll go to a different shop to get it checked. I'll let you know the output.
Ok. I found out that the noise is coming from tranny. The guy who did it for me said that is coming from a bearing inside the tranny, right in the centre where both Cv joints are inserted in the tranny. He said to get it repair is not worth it. He recommended to change the oil to the tranny to see if there is some improvement. And even with the sound it's ok to drive the car, cause there not any danger by doing so. I need you guys opinion. Also some guide as how to do it. It is a manual Honda civic 2009 Lx. Please help me.
Sorry but now the situation change after taking the car to a "Transmission shop" they opinion is that is the wheel bearing on the front passenger side is the problem. Now I am doing some reading of some post about removing and installing the wheel bearing. The only part of the procedure that I am afraid of is that is removing it manually, I mean without using a hydraulic press. I will check for a shop that can do it for me. I will reporting the result. Wish me luck.

Good luck!! A wheel bearing is much less expensive than a tranny. This should be done by a good shop if you don't have the tools and skills.

I got a shop which can do it for me. The only condition is that I have to get the knuckle. And now I am stuck because I don't know how to detach the sensor. It has a 10 mm bolt but It doesn't move. After removing the bolt I can see that there is a hex shape part where the bolt was. I did try to insert a picture but I couldn't.
Yeah, a picture would make the visual on this easier. I am not sure what the hex part is, but I would hazard that it is a part of the sensor system.
I checked the Majestic Honda parts diagrams and I couldn't find this bolt, I found the sensor but no individual bolt to observe.
Put up a picture and we can work through this...

I got it there is a connector under the chassis. But this job is becoming a pain on the neck. First of all, it took me a while to remove the rotor and I think that one or two stud is bend. But finally I got it. Now I am fighting with the ball joints. And thanks for replying.
Finally I got the knuckle out. And right now I am going to the shop. The only thing that I would like to mention is that, when I got the knuckle out I was spinning the hub by hand and I couldn't hear a noise. But it is out and I will replace the bearing.
I manage to change both bearing. And the noise is still there, But less intense. Now I discovered a clanking noise, and I am not sure if it is coming from inside the tranny or is from the axle. It doesn't happen all the time and when it happen is only when you are stopping the car. It sound lake the brake pads are lose, which aren't. Please gentleman give some ideas. Because I am trying to help my daughter.
