93 HONDA ACCORD CLUTCH WONT BUILD PRESSURE PLEASE HELP
I replaced the master cylinder and slave cylinder already but I didn't bench bleed the master cylinder I put hardly any pressure on clutch and it goes straight to floor and I can't seem to get any pressure from bleeding it or maybe I'm not doing it right but I went through a whole bottle of brake fluid! Please help me I need my car running again
If you're loosing fluid, ie have a leak. You will not be able to build any pressure. Make sure the system doesn't have any leaks. If it's right, make sure it's installed properly, and the pedel is actually depressing the master cylinder. Finally, bleed the air out.
These are really hard to get the air out of if u didn't bench bleed. Try hooking up a vacuum pump for bleeding brakes to the bleeder valve, building vacuum with pump, and releasing bleeder. Repeat until u have a solid stream of fluid coming out bleeder. You can also try and just move the slave cylinder by hand to bleed air out but it takes a long time and is a PITA.
Lesson learned - ALWAYS bench bleed ;-)
