B18C1 manual, please help!
when is turned on i can put the car into gear without using the clutch an it slides in perfectly, iv changed the cv axles, pressure plate, clutch, an the master clutch was replaced a little less than a year ago. i cant seem to figure out why it can go into gear without the clutch. please any help would be lovely.
When you put it in gear without using the clutch does it go anywhere? When you try disengaging the clutch and putting it in gear, let it engage. Does it go anywhere?
Get a picture of your axle's connection with the trans and post them here. They might have popped out. Either that or the clutch, not too much else that it could be.
when you say the axles might have poped out are you talking like a an inch or so or like all the way out? i haven't been able to do much with it cause its been pouring outside the past few days. but ill put up pictures soon.
Yea like an inch, enough for you to not notice on first glance.
Even if you have no drive shafts in you can't just put it in gear with the engine on. The pressure plate will be clamping the disc to the flywheel you'd have a horrid grinding noise. I think the real issue is that it's not going into gear at all rather the linkage just moves, only way you can just row it into gear without the clutch is if the car is off. Assuming you know how the main and counter shaft interact and how you would not be able to put it in gear while the car is on without the clutch being depressed.
