Hey guys/girls you have been a good help in the past. Wanted to know if this idle issue is normal. If I start the car with the heater dial all the way set to cold(not turned on just set to cold) it will start at about 1200-1500 and come down to 700-900. Where it should be and the idle is fine and doesn't jump up. If i turn the heater dial all the way to hot(not turned on just set all the way to hot) It will start around 1k and 20seconds later it will rev to about 1800-1900 and drop down to 700-900 where it should be. Is anything wrong with this picture also if the dial is set to hot and I start off slow I can hear a slight gurgling in the middle of the cabin. The reservoir tank and radiator both do not lose coolant. I had the coolant flushed out not to long ago. would that be the problem? If so how can i get the air out if that is what it is. thanks

 

did you try cleaning the IACV=idle air control valve ???

Bleed the cooling system with the heater on.

 

so i should try to re do it and when i drain the coolant out i should have the car on with the heat on? just trying to get to the bottom of this air in my coolant system. Everything was fine until i decided to drain and refill it.
