Default 1998 Honda Civic hatch back 5 speed drove through unavoidable puddle

Hey all I drove threw a really big puddle there was no way I could avoid it, pitch black out down pouring and noticed it last minute on the high way. I was going 45 at least. seconds later the engine light came on and the car began to pulse and jerk the more gas I gave it, until it finally died. Any clue what it might be? Of course when I get the car home I'll check the codes.(current stuck at work) The lite has come on during rain before but once it stops raining and drys up it goes away. Never has blinked or jerked before. I've replaced the spark plugs and wires less than a year ago.

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and guess it might be for the CKF (code 54, 1336, 1337). Possible water in the connector especially if your car doesn't have splash shields. Check the code and post it.
