Default 94 honda accord engine swap f22b1 to f22b

I have a f22b1 vtec motor that i am pulling due to a cracked block, i am putting in an f22b vtec jdm motor. I will change the intake manifold and wire harness and use it from the f22b1 along with the old dist and ext coil. Can you please tell me what else i must swap if anything. Thank you for your help.

If you are referring to the JDM SOHC VTEC F22B then they are physically a direct swap. As long as you keep the stuff that you mentioned, along with all your original emissions stuff, you shouldn't have any issues. Intake, exhaust and all of the other bolt-on parts are interchangeable. So really you just need to swap in the JDM block and head, keep everything else as is!

The toothed key on the end of the distributor will really only fit one way. You would have to force it to tighten all the way in if you were to install it 180° off.

Yes.

That being said, the end of the distributor that goes into the valve cover will only fit into the camshaft one way. So you just turn the rotor until the key at the other end of the distributor shaft matches the orientation of the key on the camshaft inside the valve cover. I'm at work right now so I don't have access to my pictures. If you still need help in a few hours I'll post up some pics to help.

Hi sorry such a novice at this and thank you for taking your time with me so awesome. i get that the end of the dist fits in only one way. no probs there, but it has been spun since taking out (did not mark like i prob should have and i know that when i put it back in the timing will not be right so i have read a few things that say to put the gears on the side of the motor at tdc and line up the marks and make sure dist rotor is facing the number one cylinder, that is what i want to know about i dont want to screw up my car. I put my f22b1 intake and wire harness on the jdm f22b so i figured i can stay with my dist and ext coil. because the jdm cam with an internal coil in dist. again thanks for your assistance and respond when you can, thanks.

Rotate your engine to TDC(white mark), is the cam sprocket in the 'UP' position?
If so, rotate the crank so that the pointer is on the base ignition timing(red mark).
Remove distributor cap, looking at the distributor cap, line up the rotor so that it is pointing at where the cap tower marked with 'A1' is. This is the #1 spark plug. With the distributor installed, the #1 tower will be in a ~9 O'clock position.

Distributor body can only go on one way, with the coil facing ~2 O'clock position.
