Default Throttle Body?

Hey guys.

Was thinking about picking up a bigger throttle body. I have a 2 L b18c5. Should i get it or will it not make a difference. I am going turbo in the future, but not currently.

skunk2 ultra series IM which is 74mm, pair that to the pro billet 74mm a 2.0l ITR is more then capable of pushing into the 600+hp range. Providing you get pistons and rods to match

Show me a stroked b18 that pushes into the 600+hp range...

Guarantee even if you found one, it wouldn't be as a result of that ultra series manifold/throttle body pairing. You would need a lot more than a stroked c5, mani, tb, pistons and rods to get anywhere in the vicinity of even 300hp.

he said turbo.... obv he would be using something like a topmount and a 6262 an ultra street will hold up to that easy, a victor x would do fine also. Even ifhe just run around N/A with that you're ok kids use the pro series ITM daily which is 70mm 4mm won't make a difference.

Even with "something like a topmount and a 6262", c5 stroked to 2 Liters with "pistons and rods to match" , Ultra Series IM+TB combo, STILL wouldn't scrape 600hp.

All i'm asking is to show me this:

To the OP: No one knows if a bigger throttle body will make a difference for you. First of all, you haven't specified what size throttle body you're currently running. You give us nothing to compare to. You really give us no information to even give you a general yes,no, or maybe response.

Lets be real here: You dont have a stroked 2.0L b18c5. Anyone who has taken the time and effort to build an engine like you mentioned would know what a larger sized throttle body would yield on their setup.

Never did I say N/A... forced induction that's a walk in the park for a 6262 at 20+ lbs would do that easy. Add in some 11:1 aries pistons and manly turbo tuff rods and you're done with the block(sleeved). Now the head GSC T1's upgraded valve train+ ultra "race" manifold, full race top mount and a s300+ ID2000's. fuel wise e85 would be needed and a good tune. Head over to the FI section what I just listed is overkill even you could still be using a good ramhorn, not on stock sleeves tho.

Its the stock TB i think it is 65 mm. Its a b18c5 sleeved with 10:1 piston LS crank, i have turbo rods and piston in there. I believe some of you remember when i posted my spun bearing in my motor couple months ago.

Yeah the kid sold his integra so he has a 70 mm throtttle body. HE asked me if i wanted it, i said in 2 weeks or so. So will i see a difference or should i get it when i turbo my engine?

This sure sounds a whole lot different than your original statement :

Regardless of how the engine is aspirated, my point from the beginning was simply...

...Which by your last response proves to be in agreement with me. Regardless of how the engine is aspirated, It takes a whole lot more than just forced induction and a few performance parts to achieve 600hp, period. That is my point.

you know I would never say N/A could do that even with a k24/20 setup I've messed with these engines enough to know that.

It was never about NA or FI. I dont know where you're getting lost here. Either way, this discussion has already reached its conclusion.
