Hello, I am new to this site! I am having some troubles, i have a 96 honda accord ex. I am going to try to add pictures so you can see what im talking about. I was almost certain it was the control arm/ball joint that broke, but then i was told it was a support bar. I usually use rockauto.com to order parts, and there is no such thing as a support bar in the part list. this sure looks like a control arm to me. Can someone please tell me what part this is so I can fix my car please??? Thanks in advance!!

Thats what I thought! I'm a girl... the guy thats going to fix it is really good with cars, but i dont think hes worked on many hondas. he said it was a support bar. i knew he was wrong... do i only need to order that? what are bushings?

 

Should I order this one? Ive been reading threads, seems like moog and dorman seem like the best options. any opinions?

Dorman can be hit or miss.
If you go with MOOG, use the PROBLEM SOLVER series, not the R-series.

There are sway bars, control arms, and sometimes strut bars. Never heard of a support bar.
