ENGINE SWAP 200HP??
Hi everyone I have a 94 accord DX with 260k original miles and 100% stock. I would like to get somewhere in the 175-200hp range should I bother upgrading with this engine or should I do an engine swap and if so which engine would work best.also what upgrades would work best to get me to that 175-200 mark easiest preferably without a turbo
Swap in a Type S H22 and call it a day. 200whp and H22 swaps are very common in the CD chassis. look in the FAQ, should be a swap thread in there. If not there are hundreds of H series swapped CD (94-97) Accords that have been documented online.
You can buy a complete Type S H22 swap from some JDM importers, including; engine, trans, drive shafts, ECU and wiring harness. All depends on how much you want to spend.

Type-S powertrains tend to go for ~$2700 on eBay, take a grand off that for the F20B, and there are a couple options in between. If you want just a bit more oomph for street driving and your transmission is in good shape then you can get away with just swapping the engine, add some bolt ons (hytech replica 4-piece header and no other below that price point) and have your goal. If you want to drag or autocross the car then you'll need a LSD as well, and at that point the jdm lsd trans makes more sense, at the expense of highway fuel economy.

H23A bluetop+T2T4 trans. Good header, 2.5-3" exhaust, gutted/Rosko plenum, tune, done. 200whp easy and probably pretty close to 170-180whtq with a broad powerband. Probably about 3K invested all together, but it'll be way more fun on the street due to the extra stroke(95mm) than the Type-S. You're giving up maybe a little power in the upper RPM, but gaining a LOT or torque throughout the rest of the powerband.
