Request for facts of a 91 H22A out of a prelude si vtec
Hey guys, looking to rebuild my H22A. As far as i know, it came from a 1991 prelude si vtec from japan. Its been boosted at 11 psi with stock internals for the last 2 years. I've beat the **** out of it at least once everytime i drive it, until i put a new clutch in and i guess i forgot to hook up the wastegate source vacuum port back up.... Needless to say, fairly certain it overboosted and cracked a ring land. Pistons move up and down, #1 has 35 psi and 2 has over 170 so i know my rods are fine. During a LDT i found that air was coming through the case.
what i need to know is, the sleeves. I hear some people say EVERY H/F series has always used FRM liners, but i hear other sources saying only 94+ uses FRM. I do have a closed deck.
Im looking into a set of forged pistons if in fact i dont have FRM sleeves, but how do i find out?
Thanks guys.
P.S. Before people freak out, i will be blue printing the motor by hand to make sure everything is in check during the rebuilding process.
