Missfire only on high speed/rpm after timing belt
2007 odyssey
So I recently changed my timing belt. After I was done the car started up fine, sounds fine, idles fine.
It drives around just fine too. BUT if you gun it and stomp on the gas it will flash a little CEL.
Sometimes the CEL stays and I have to unplug battery to get it to go away.
I got auto zone to scan it and they said it was saying cyl 1 and 5 missfire and random missfire errors.
The car does not run rough or anything. I even broke it all back down and took the timing covers off to check timing and the marks are dead one TDC on both cams and crank.
Any ideas???

So after completely tearing it all back down and re doing the T-belt and taking all spark plugs out and switching the coils around I still got the CEL flashing at high RPM and cyl 1 and 5 misfire.
Then I saw something about CKP pattern clear/learn in the service manual. I don't have HDS so I did the manual way which involves running the car parked to 3000 rpm till fan comes on. Then running up the RPM on a road driving to 5000 and letting it drop to 1000 with foot off the gas petal. I did that like 4-5 time then turned key to off then back on. Then waited 30 seconds and drove it again.
The CEL misfire at high rpm problems are now gone. I tested like 20 times. Never once got the flashing CEL light. It would do it every time before.

only time i have ever had this problem the timing was off. especially since you just did a timing belt. are you sure you have the marks in the correct place?
Yes The timing marks were in sync perfect. On the Cams and the crank. I even broke it all back down and reseat the belt, turned it over several times. The marks were dead on.
The car STILL did the high rpm misfire. When I did the CKP relearn it stopped misfiring right away and has been fine since.
