Default Spray paint for Exhaust/muffler?

Well, I decided to take off my coffee canister, and put stock exhaust back on. I noticed that it was a bit rusty, so I think I'm gonna go on ahead and paint it black. What type of paint and brand should I get ?

powdercoating is a process that uses electricity to bond the color to the material.
then you "cook" the piece and the color comes out.

BTW, if anybody needs any podwercoating done, i can get whatever you need done for a really cheap price.

John Deere Blitz Black implement paint or a decent epoxy to resist rock chips. Not the cheapest but will hold up really good. The muffler doesn't get that warm, you don't need hi-temp paint back there.

High temp paint wouldnt hurt, but it does not get as hot as a header. High temp spray paint is not that expensive, why not buy it?

It will come off...the temp. paint will hold for couple of month before it because kinda cooked ash grey color and you can just peel them off.
it's even worst on hxhaust pipe.

I use it to touch up the tailpipes on my '62 Impala about once a year or twice a year. They exit directly behind the rear tires ( factory position ) and take a real beating from rocks, etc. and I was never real big into chrome exhaust tips. As far as heat, by the time the exhaust gets back there it has cooled considerably and I know the Blitz Black can take a fair amount. The grille/BBQ paint suggested by some of the others is a safe bet as well. Take some scotchbrite or fine sandpaper and rough up the surface to help the paint adhere. If you have to touch it up occasianlly so what ? A can of paint will go a long way on something that small.
