Default Cracked the bellhousing on the A/T Transmission during install

Hey guys, I cracked the bellhousing on the A/T transmission during the install. I cracked it right by the opening in the engine where you can see the flywheel all the way down to the half oval. Can this be fixed? Welded? What are my options?

I did that, and it was consideraby easier than you might think (if its your first time doing it and by yourself). When that happened I just got a new JDM transmission with low miles, ran excellent till the 5 speed swap.

Don't even think of using JB weld, your best and cheapest route (unless you want a low miles transmission), is to have it TIG welded.

I think the transmission only cost me 250 or 300, somewhere in there.

EDIT Oh and btw the way you do that is you don't have snout of the torque converter all the way in the trans and when you go to tighten the bolts (and just tighten and tighten and tighten), something *snaps* and you have a real doozy of a pickle to deal with. lol.

Make sure that the torque converter is all the way into the transmission next time. I actually damaged my internal pump in the trans now that I remember it, cause the torque converter never could go all the way in. That's how you'll know I guess.
