any eg guys without ps or ac running a lightened crank pulley??
any of u guys with bseries motors running some sort of lightened crank pulley, just want to know ur impressions of it, and is it worth getting
thanks
thanks
most replies to this question that i see say it isnt worth it unless your're going for alot of drag racing, of course at that point you probably dont have ps or ac.... People also mention lights dimming and destroying batteries......so alot of posts say not worth it.
oh and try search next time, there have been alot of these threads

No issues with my CTR crank (Ac never worked and P/S pump took a **** so there was no point in fixing both of those).
the crank and pully are balanced from Honda factory. DO NOT use a lighter one!!! You CAN get away with the N1 (CTR) pully as it is an OEM product. I have seen what the Unorthodox pullies do to a hi rev. motor.... not for the empy walleted.
well since i dont want to mess my motor up i was just gonna get my stocker machined down to just the alt. pulley just want to know if its worth it enough to do this

There is a little bit of a diff in everyday driving. i won't know if it really helped anything until the next time I dyno the car.

btw this is a b18b block with pistons and rods, max revs are 8k when im racing, 7k normal driving on the street what do you think?
I have the UR race pulley on mine with no problems so far (about 2k miles on the motor) but my bottom end is not stock, all the rotating asembilies were balenced when the motor was rebuilt, also my engine builder said that if the engine were really made out of ballence by the pulley i would know it right away

Alot of the motors that I saw were 8k+ revvers. And it is to be noted that these people bought the pulley outright and put it on, after most of the motor work was done. Almost all the shops that I have talked to told me that they balance everything as a unit, so if you have a lighter pulley on the block when you take it in, then it is factored into the mix.
Knife edge your crankshaft and put an UR crankshaft pully on and you can't feel the different but you can see the differents on the rpm tach.
