Like the title says, what is a jdm Climate control? Every time I go on eBay i always see someone selling one. I know it has something to do with the a/c whats so special about it compared to the american ac control?

 

Not sure, mine has a black cap where the ac button goes

 

i believe its electric as far as the vent operations go like the crx, the original usdm one its all manual operated.

non crx climate controls can be found anywhere, the crx and jdm one are hard to find not brken and definitely more expensive, it also looks much better.

google ef9 climate control and compare it to yours

if you plan to use it on your car it requires wiring and some tubes i believe

 

I have it on my JDM car.

You set it to the degree you want (Celsius) and heat, cold, or auto and where you want it to blow, or auto. Then it works just like a modern climate control.

Is it worth the upgrade, no.

Is it a cool feature, yeah.

 

It is a cool feature, many newer cars have these days. It is NOT a plug and play. It also needs to be complete with a number of motors, relay's and temp sensors to be installed and work properly.

 

Oh I see, USDM one looks much better imo

 

The conversion is a big pain in the butt from what I've seen, if you can even find all the parts. Better to get a/c if you don't have it already.
