I bought a 92 Accord Coupe that I love! It already has aftermarket parts including inter cooler. But after work one night it was snowing and i heard a POP! My car starts and stays running as long as u hold in the clutch. But it is stuck in like 5th gear. I pulled off the little box on top of the bell housing and i can see where the pins engage when u shift gears but one is snapped off. Im good with cars but i dont mess with trans alot. I took it to a shop and they want to replace my trans for $1000! they said they cant just replace pin or fork. I dont have alot of $ and im pressed for time... Is there any other way? or any options? Or is getting my trans replaced the only option? Ill post pics of where the pin is broke off so u will can better understand what im talking about... PLEASE HIT ME WITH SOME KNOWLEDGE!!!

 

If its the spring pins, those are about a buck from Honda.
