I bought a 2002 honda accord 3.0 auto

Ran like a charm but then in the morning the check engine light and the tcs came on, the car takes abit more taking off but after first gear it runs fine

Now, after 3miles the car tcs light goes off and the car shifts perfect again i pull out the code and it came out p1607

I replaced the ecm/pcm and still does the same thing when its cold
I cant reset the lights untill i drive 3miles or i dissconect the the 1st ecm plug for afew seconds


Any ideas?

 

If the 'new' PCM is a used unit it may have the same issue as the original. CG V6 Accords and Odysseys had a cold solder problem on the PCM boards that would open when cold/cold weather, but would be fine when the car warmed up or was in hot weather.

 

Ohh i thought it would be a short or a bad ground, iam going to try another used ecm i have a 30day warranty if that doesnt work i guess ima have to get a new one
