This car was from my uncle, he loved this car so much. Since I was a child, I loved this car so much and the memories that i got there too. Recently I just turned 18 and I decided to buy that car from my uncle, because I am at the University so I need a car for my movility. I have no idea how is the car, this car was stuck in the garage 3 years ago, because my uncle is in Venezuela right now. And I was trying to know what should I do with this car, what is about the engine? I have no idea but I am going to repair this car, but i have no idea how to start. There are some advices that could help me? Here is a photo of the engine.
Fist you need to put a good known working battery in it and attempt to pull some Check Engine Light codes if there is any stored on the ECU or cars computer. Do you know if this car runs at all have you tried starting it? And that looks to be an h23 non vtec engine you have in there.

Tuner up! Replace the oil, check antifreeze, belts, alternator, distributor. You just wanna start with the basics. Theres more to check for but these are some basics that came straight to head. Check em out
I can tell ya that first of all ur intake looks to be missing vacuum lines so that will throw codes or mess with your idle.
Second, it's RHD but still ur throttle cable seems to not be actually bolted down. I'd also make sure there are no loose wires, then hose down the engine compartment.
But like others say- spark plugs, coolant, oil, tranny fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, check the brake pads/rotors, possibly a new timing belt as they can crack from non-use, among other things. Honestly? I'd prepare to tow it to a shop or do it yourself if u want to spend a couple days learning how to take care of the car. You're looking at a couple hundred $US at the minimum, as much as $1000 max if u have to do timing belt and brakes.
There's alot involved in making a 3 year sitting car run again. Keep in mind oil seals possibly have dried out.
