'93 Prelude misfire on acceleration
So my '93 prelude has this kind of annoying issue. When the car is hot it misfires a lot during acceleration up to about 2500rpm. The whole car kind of "jerks" or jumps along during acceleration.
The PO says it's the ignition timing. But how do I tune that on this car?
The rotor, disrubitor, plug wires, plugs and a bunch of sensors including the tps has been changed.
From previous experience with this issue it might also be a vaccuum leak somewhere. But I have no clue where to start looking.
Supposedly the PO also removed the cat. Might this be an isse? I have the original cat so I can try and put that back in.
Then you have the fuel system. But I kind of doubt that cause this only happens when the car reaches "operating temperature". Would this issue be there all the time if this was a bad fuel pump, injectors or a clogged fuel filter?
Any help would be greatily appriciated as this is my first non-german car.

I remember having the same issue on my 94 Si, I just had replaced the plugs and it just happened that the mechanic I last took it too somehow cracked the insulator, causing a misfire under acceleration and noticeable at idle also. Did you change the plugs, or did the PO said he changed them? Wouldn't hurt to check them. To check your ignition timing you need a timing gun, you hook it up to the battery and the #1 spark plug wire, you turn on the gun and it should be flashing, you point it to the hole on the left side of the block above the engine code, Sometimes that hole would be covered with some sort of a cap I believe. You should see a mark of the flywheel or flexplate, I have an automatic transmission, so my mark I need to line up is red, and everytime the gun flashes the red mark should line up with the pointer on the block. Here's a pic
Does it also misfire during part throttle cruise?
Is the EGR still functional? Are the EGR ports clear?
If the valve was removed was the ECM chipped to compensate?
