IT has been making this buzzing noise on intervals sometimes every three minutes when it is off. It sounds like when the ABS pump is warming up when you turn the car on but it is louder. I have a 2001 SH

 

I know the noise you are talking about. I've been told that that noise is the cruise control system discharging vacuum pressure. All 97+ Preludes do it.

yeah that noise happens to me too in my 00 sh... when you start the car and put it in 1st it makes a buzzing noise ... my old land rover discovery did that too

 

The noise that you descibe is the ABS system charging up when you start your car. He's taking about a similar, but different buzzing noise that occurs a few minutes after the car is shut off.

Yes thank you... It happens when the car is off. All the time sounds like the abs pump but happens every 3-5 mins for like 5 sec.

Mine makes the same noise. It's definately the ABS pump but I only started noticing it after my ABS code threw and I found out I had a high pressure leak in the system, but who knows, it might have always done it.
