Default If the 2003 Accord has EcoTech, does that affect the transmission in anyway shape or

Quick question guys, I'm more of a Civic person myself, so I'm not too familiar with accords. Especially the new-er models.

My question is ...

If the 2003 Accord has EcoTech, does that affect the transmission in anyway shape or form? Does that technology affect the transmission?

I have an Accord to replace a transmission in for a friend, and I'm not 100 percent sure about this.

Can I get a transmission for the same motor/year/model and throw it in as a viable replacement even if the model I pulled the used tranny from didn't have EcoTech?

It's for economy, not performance (which is VTEC). The gearing will be slightly different in a trans from a model without that engine. Therefore, if it's an auto tranny it might not shift at the right points. Other than that you should be fine.
