Default Shortening stock tie-rods?

I installed coilovers on my RSX. The front coilover install was simple enough but now the toe is bad to the point where I wonder if I can safely drive it to the shop 3 miles away for a proper alignment. The steering wheel darts back and forth. Is shorting the length of the tie-rods as simple as loosening the nut and spinning them? I have read that some had to use multiple wrenches to shorten them but I don't see why this is needed?

I haven't done it in about 8years, but they might use two wrenches for precision. Because they don't want the rod twisting when they lock the nut. With the Toe you have to be pretty precise. I remember I always had a hard time dialing it to 0. Also make sure you have something keeping your steering wheel centered

You need camber bolts or camber/caster plates first. Than start looking in the tie rods. if you search this forum the info is stickied.

But yes you can just screw the tie rods all the way in... which will cause other issues...
