I have a Civic 2004 3doors 1,6 Sport Edition. One year ago my Fuel pump was gone (170.000km) with PO171 code and check engine light. I've replaced it with not Oem part, so I had fuel economy problems, and when the fuel quantity was at about 10L from max 40L, the car had low rmp, problems with acceleration, stalling, turning off by itself, all these especially in climbing roads. For sure the fuel pump was a problem working and making a strange noise like suffering to fullfil his duty. I've puted a new Oem Fuel Pump, everything ok for 3 months than I had the Exact Same Problems and Signs, but the fuel pump looks like working ok, at least no suffering noise. Saying again P0171 code. Catalyc ok. Erg ok. Air filter ok. When the motor is cold the acceleration is ok and the whole work of the car looks ok, but for 10 min only. I should put always fuel quantity above 10L to avoid stalling for still the economy is low (1-2L difference, depending how I push the throtle). Any idea?
