Default Rear trailing arm bushing welded in?

Bet on the thing like crazy and it didn't move. So I got under it and saw this.

Anyone seen this before? Don't think I will be able to get a grinder in there even if I remove it all the way. Chisel?

Sure looks like somebody tack welded it in.

Perhaps they found it was moving around after being pressed in. I recently pressed in new bushings in my rear control arms and one of them annoying was sliding around laterally. I had to end up tacking it.

You could pull the whole arm out for better access if you can't reach it on the car to grind the tack weld out. I pulled my whole arms to replace my trailing arm bushings recently. Made them much easier to do than on the car.

A sharp chisel may work assuming you don't just break the tip off
