Perhaps they found it was moving around after being pressed in. I recently pressed in new bushings in my rear control arms and one of them annoying was sliding around laterally. I had to end up tacking it.
You could pull the whole arm out for better access if you can't reach it on the car to grind the tack weld out. I pulled my whole arms to replace my trailing arm bushings recently. Made them much easier to do than on the car.
A sharp chisel may work assuming you don't just break the tip off
