Default Radiator/overflow tube keeps coming off

Hey guys i'm having this problem where the tube that goes from my radiator to the overflow reservoir keeps getting blown off. This started after I changed my thermostat and one of the hoses had a leak and my car overheated driving home from work.

My car is a 1997 Honda Civic EX

Thanks!

Are you saying that you replaced a hose (which one) and the thermostat?
If that is what you are saying, along with your car is overheating and the overflow tube is blowing off, then the problem is most likely either:
1) radiator fan is not functioning properly
2) water pump is weak or totally shot
3) blown head gasket

Or you didn't properly bleed your cooling system. I'd try to bleed it according to the FSM and see what happens:

I replaced the hose that goes from the thermostat housing to the radiator. I was also thinking blown head gasket but my oil is clean and no white smoke, i'll do the cheap stuff first.

Thanks for your replies

Also my A/C belt snapped a few weeks ago does that have something to do with it?

If it started after an overheat, then that is ominous.

I don't think a snapping A/C belt would have to do with it.

Your tube is popping off due to extra pressure in the cooling system.

Now... some questions:

1. How does the underside of your oil cap look. ? Is there anything on it? Anything at all?
2. Your radiator fill cap. How does the underside of it look? Is there anything on it? Anything at all?
3. How does your oil look?
4. Do you notice anything different about your exhaust? How does it smell?

5. How does your car run and drive since the overheat? Does it continue to overheat? Does it have to rev up a lot? Does it seem to hesitate at any point? How does it start up? Harder than before? ...
