2002 Civic EX driver door lock problem
First post. Did a little searching and didn't see an answer. Pardon me if this is repetitive.
So, for awhile I was without my keyless entry and I had to lock my Civic with a key or hold the driver side door handle and push down on the lock button. I got so in the habit of the handle/button combo that I still find myself doing it a lot even though my keyless is working again.
Today I tried to lock my car this way and only the passenger side locked. The driver side lock button is down just a hair. Won't lock with the inside button or the keyless, but sounds like something is trying to move. It will lock with the key, but I was wondering if any of you have advice before taking it to someone and/or ripping apart the door.
Thanks!

Mine does the same thing- it audibly clicks but the lock doesn't budge. Works fine with the key, or by holding the [either] handle in the "open" position and pressing the lock down while the door is ajar.
The problem is, the actuator has worn out. I haven't bothered to replace mine as I'm not bothered having to use the key.
