Bench Testing Igniter? 1993 Accord LX
Is there a way to bench-test the igniter from a 1993 Accord LX?
I have the dizzy out of the car and have it torn apart to possibly replace the igniter but I can't seem to find any definitive answers online as to if the device can be bench-tested.
Anyone have any knowledge to share?

Best thing to do would be to put it back in the car, verify the battery is charged and start from there. FWIW an easy check if the ICM is dead is to watch the tach. If while cranking the tach needle does not move, ICM is most likely dead. If it does move while cranking it is putting out a signal, and is probably good. But if the ignition dies when engine is warm, the ICM may be failing due to heat stress.
There is this writeup, which may/may not apply to your LX(F22B2) igniter, looks similar although I believe it is for an Integra. Same ignition system I would suspect.

Interesting.
When I cranked the motor, tach did nothing.
Put the "new" igniter in there and cranked the motor: tach did nothing until I stopped cranking, at which point, the tach blew upward to about 7k then immediately back down.
I put the previous igniter back in there, assuming the "new" one is not-so-new after all.
I looked at the sparks coming out of the wires and coil - all were orange in color.
So, I tested the (external) coil - A-B gave absolutely no reading on a 200ohm setting. It appears my coil has gone bad and a new one is on its way.
