Default Back from my first 1/4 mile track run

I went to the track today and am kind of disappointed. I wanted to break into the 14s but couldn't, my best time was
rt ....... .873
60ft......2.41
330.......6.454
1/8........9.793
mph......73.48
1/4........15.167
MPH.......92.36
ON STOCK dx exhaust and shitty 175/70 tires, stock suspension as well

How much do you think a CAI highflow cat exhaust, tires and suspension will drop my times

BTW its a 93dx hatch full interior, jdm sir 2 motor

Some decent tires will at least give you a 2.3 60ft which could give you a 14.9. A intake would do alot also. Just keep trying, not bad times but they could get better

I ran 14.6 with full interior, street tires, B16 SIRII in a VX hatch with a worse 60ft than you. 14.4 with the backhalf stripped and a 2.2 60ft. So your times could be better

AEM style CAI = .3 sec

exhaust is another .3 seconds.

I also fell like my tranny is really long geared, compared to first gen B16s that I have driven

At 80mph in 5th I am only at 3600rpm,

I top out gears 35 in 1st, 65 in second and like 100 in third.

Does this sound like an ls tranny? Or are second gen JDM SIR trannys just longer

you should be pulling 2.2 60ft's on street tires....that and your mph are DEF. good for high 14's........
