Koni Yellows and Stock Springs - use OE dust covers?
Question:
How many of you with Konis and stock springs reused the OEM dust covers on the shocks? I don't really want to "enlarge" the OEM hole in mine (another set of new dust covers are a little pricey) but considering my car will never see winter/rain/mud, I'm not really sure they are even needed.
I like the OE look, but as far as they actually being useful--not so sure in my situation.

I reused mine. Drilling them out is a bit annoying. I think you can get away with leaving them off. I just wanted to protect my investment as best I could. Race valved yellows aren't cheap.
People run them all the time not installed with GC coilovers and such. I'm not sure why OEM springs would need them and sleeved coilovers would not (obviously they won't work with sleeves).
Just trying to justify it I suppose.

I reused mine, the drilling is not that time consuming as you think and its worth it to protect your investment in the long run.
